Morgana has unveiled the DigiFold Pro XL creasing and folding machine, the latest addition to its DigiFold line up.

The heavy-duty automatic machine is designed to complement mid- to high-volume digital and offset production presses. It is equipped with the latest version of the patented DynaCrease creasing system and incorporates a suction feeder that handles stock sizes from 210 to 1300mm in length.

The Pro XL can fold up to 6000 A4 sheets per hour, and in crease-only mode it can produce up to 7500 sheets in the same time. The unit has a maximum loading capacity of 200mm.

The machine’s ability to handled sheets up to 1300m as standard opens the door to new applications such as landscape booklet covers, book covers for oversized perfect bound books, multi-panel brochures, and the many other applications made possible by long sheet presses.

‘The Pro XL is an important addition because of its wide stock range,’ said Ray Hillhouse, vice president, sales and marketing at Morgana. ‘We work closely with the print engine manufacturers on several levels. All of them were pushing into longer sheet applications with their latest print engines. As well as opening up a new range of possibilities, we’ve made the DigiFold easier to operate and automated much of the feeder set-up with our new vacuum feeder.’
